Title: Her Scottish Mistake
Author: Michele de Winton
Series: Perfect Escape, #1
Publication Date: April 10th, 2017
Genres: Adult, Entangled: Lovestruck, Contemporary, Romance

Aspiring blogger Janie Milan is finally on her dream trip to Thailand. But when an unfortunate piña colada incident lands her in the path of a hot Scotsman, Janie finds herself dying to find out what’s under his kilt. Only the frustratingly sexy man isn’t who he’s pretending to be…

After cutting a deal to keep his brother safe, Scottish heartthrob Blaine Galloway is hiding from the press. But his secret identity starts to slip the second he meets small-town blogger, Janie. Now the press is hot on their heels and Blaine’s life is tumbling into a tabloid-sponsored hell. Coincidence? He’s not so sure.

#Excerpt
Janie looked the guy dead in the eyes again and boom, her ovaries practically melted. The way those blue eyes looked at her? Lethal. The light shifted, and through the lust fug clouding her vision like fog, she changed her mind. They weren’t blue eyes. They were some sort of crazy, ocean full of sequins with blue curaçao punch mixed together eyes. And were they sparkling? Hells yes they were. It took everything she had not to melt into a blubbering mess, but she’d promised herself she wasn’t going to do that ever again, so she straightened. She could talk to men. She would talk to men. That was part of what she came here for.

“Boston, cute name. Not very Texan, but cute. What sort of dog is he?”

Gawd, that accent. What was it, Scottish? Did someone forget to tell McDashing that this was Thailand and not the set of Outlander? “A stupid one,” she said keeping her voice as steady as she could as she waited for the lust fog to lift. “Likes to chase mice down holes down at the tractor sheds and gets stuck with his ass waving in the air all the time.”

He chuckled, and those eyes were sparkling and they were looking at her like she was supposed to say something more. Like she should do something. Hell, those eyes almost wrapped her up and took her to bed. Girlfriend, you need to sit down a second. Guy could be a serial killer and you’re lust-whoring after his eyes and insisting he come to your room? Since when do you do that? Janie gave herself a little shake. She’d clearly only just gotten out of Little Acre in time before she lost all sense of reason. Putting a hand to her stomach, she tried to still what felt like a giant herd of Thai elephants rather than butterflies trampling through her intestines. What the heck was that? There were no feels to be felt here. She blinked hard to try and focus, and the lust fog finally lifted.

“Boston is a mongrel. Floppy thing, a bit like Ryan Gosling’s mutt. Not that you care about Ryan Gosling enough to know what his dog looks like. Or even know who Ryan Gosling is. Still, Boston’s mine and despite his stupidity I love him to bits. Saved him from getting himself shot.” Janie made herself shut up. Oversharing much? “Anyway. I’m Janie. My room is over there, I’m as normal as a steering wheel on a tractor, and you’re still dripping.” She pointed to his shirt.

He looked down and sighed. “So I am.” Unbuttoning the first couple of buttons, he pulled the shirt over his head to reveal an intricate tattoo that took up most of his left chest and shoulder. And also… Holy six-pack of heaven. Her fingers itched to touch it, to smooth the dampness away. The elephants in her stomach trumpeted their agreement.

Then he put his hand in his shorts pocket. “Och, damn and bollocks.”

“What?” Janie managed to get the words out past the saliva. Heck, at least she wasn’t openly drooling.

“My cell. It’s got your cocktail on it.”

#MyThoughts

Her Scottish Mistake is the first book in the Perfect Escape series by Michele de Winton. It is a light and cute reading -maybe, it is too light for me yet I did enjoy it. Plus, it is a well-written story with a plot very distinctive.

Janie and Blaine are perfect for each other and there is not deny from my part about them being together because they deserve it. However, Blaine can be a little too... carried along with facts he is not really sure they are true. I liked Janie's character, but I did not feel that connection with her and her feelings or her thoughts, she was very well described and I know there is someone on the world who would love her -apart from Blaine- but it is not me. I loved how their story ended, and I think his Scottish charming is very lovely when it has to be. Plus, the stories they lived together were fascinating.

As I said this is a cute, light, Scottish reading with many good things to not read it and enjoy every part of it. If you like Scottish men I am sure you would love it.

Book: +4 love-is-everywhere stars!

It’s no wonder that Michele’s first romance has a little sparkle of the stage tucked into its pages as she was a performer long before she got adicted to the page. Being a writer was not what she was supposed to be when she ‘grew up’ but then neither was a dancer. Her poor parents. They thought that when she toddled off to law school they’d bred a responsible, useful adult and instead they got a performer and word junkie.

She now writes full time in a studio surrounded by the whisper of wind in the trees and only intermittent interruptions from her young son, husband and hunger pangs. She’s based in New Zealand (land of beaches and hobbits) loves chocolate, yoga, sunshine, her boys and happy endings.

#BlogTour | #Review: THE ATTRACTION OF ADELINE by Lisa Wells + #Giveaway #Excerpt

Welcome to my #ReviewTourStop for
The Attraction of Adeline by Lisa Wells! xoxo

Title: The Attraction of Adeline
Author: Lisa Wells
Series: Off-the-Wall Proposal #2
Publication Date: April 10th, 2017
Genres: Adult, Entangled: Lovestruck, Contemporary, Romance, Comedy

The Proposal: Adeline Rigby will live with Accountant Jack Foster and pretend to be his fake fiancée for one month in order for him to seal a promotion to partner. In return, Accountant Jack Foster will intimately tutor Adeline Rigby in French before she leaves for Paris where she will fulfill her dream of attending Le Cordon Bleu.

The Terms:

1. Maintain distance. Three get-to-know-you dates before announcing their engagement will be tempting enough.
2. No kissing. Okay, fine. Three kisses. Maybe four. And neck kisses don’t count.
3. No touchy feely stuff. Or at least not too many public displays of touchy-feely stuff.
4. No sex.
5. All right, all right. One night of sex in order to be a believable engaged couple.
6. Two nights of mind-blowing sex to make sure first night wasn’t a fluke.
7. Absolutely, positively, no falling in love.

#Excerpt
"Sis, you didn't tell me your infamous roommate from college would be at your signing."

"I'm pretty sure I did. You just weren't listening."

He turned back to Adeline. "Tell me, Adie, have you been in any bar fights lately?"

Adeline gave Kinley a three-watt stare. A hundred-wattage one would have hurt. "You told him about that?" One sorority against another sorority. Adeline belonged to neither, but she somehow ended up blamed for the St. Patrick's Day brawl. Simply because she blurted to one posse of sorority sisters that they looked like a bunch of pink leprechauns. Which they did.

Of course, they'd assumed she was a member of the other sorority.

And then someone spilled a drink on one of the leprechauns. It may or may not have been Adeline.

Kinley cleared her throat. "I—”

"Red, didn't my little sister ever tell you she can't keep a secret?" Jack said, interrupting Kinley. "Hell, she can't keep her own secrets let alone someone else's. Just ask her husband."

Adeline twisted and used the pole to pull herself, hand-over-hand, into a standing position. "I go by Adie or Adeline. Not Red."

Kinley pulled out a chair. "Sit." She sounded as bossy as Charlie.

Adeline sat.

Kinley turned to her brother. "I've explained to Adeline that you are in need of a pretend fiancée."

Jack groaned. "Sis, I told you I can find one on my own."

“Why would you go looking for one when there’s a perfectly normal and nice woman sitting in front of you? Now, you two talk while I go see if there’s some ice in the kitchen.” Kinley took off leaving them alone.

Adeline eye-balled Jack.

Jack gave her a gentle smile. “Don’t worry, I won’t let my sister browbeat you into anything.” He pulled up a chair and sat in front of her. Adeline tried to control her breathing in an attempt to keep her breasts from heaving in a come-hither manner, but it was useless. Something about this man’s voice drove her to the brink.

His thumb lightly grazed over her cheek, before he gently touched her brow.

She winced.

"You're going to have a headache tomorrow," he said, his warm breath whispering against her temple.

She resisted an urge to trace her face where he'd touched. Was he trying to cast a spell on her? "With those powers of observation, your momma should have called you Einstein.”

He chuckled. "And the woman has a healthy helping of spice to go with her dollop of nice.” He held up two fingers. “Follow my fingers." He moved them from side to side.

Adeline followed, reminding herself she had goals. A distraction wasn’t on her laminated to-do list.

Jack made her follow his fingers three more times and then stopped. A pulse beat in his cheek as he stared intently into her eyes.

Was he going to kiss her? Was that a step in assessing head injuries these days? Adeline's tongue darted out to lick her lips. You know...just in case.

"You should never be a man’s pretend fiancée. Only his real fiancée," he said in a low whisper, before he sat back in his chair and broke off their gaze.

#MyThoughts
The Attractions of Adeline is the second standalone book in the Off-the-Wall Proposal series by Lisa Wells; I have already read its first book and it was a good reading. Now, I like comedy in books, there is something that appeals more to me when reading with a smile on my face because of the funny scenes or moments. This is also a short reading - I finished it pretty fast, sometimes I do not like when a story finishes because I am too deep into it, however I was pleased with how things ended.

Adeline and Jack are very likeable characters -specially she and her non-filter attitude which is nothing bad because it is not with bad intentions, it just seems she cannot stop to think before saying the first thing that pops into her mind. Yet, she knows what she has to do, and she is loyal to keep her promises in order to keep other people's trust. And Jack, well, he is a persona that I could like if he were real. Both are a perfect match, and they are... so cute together. Lovely!

As you can see I enjoyed this reading, maybe there were some kind of things I did not like but at the end I think it is worth to read. A cute, hot, funny, and adorable reading that I totally recommend if you like this kind of books. And of course I am looking forward to reading another of Lisa's books.

Book: +4 whatever-comes-out stars!

#Excerpt
“I just want everything to be perfect. I want—I need—to know that when he kisses me, he’s not going to draw away in horror. That he’ll be enticed to want…more.”

A growing realization was coming over Henry, and he wiped at his forehead. No. It wasn’t possible. She wasn’t about to ask him—

“Would you be willing to, maybe, kiss me? Just for a minute? You’ve been so honest up to now, and I trust that you’ll tell me if kissing me is like kissing a twelve-year-old—”

“I’m afraid I wouldn’t have any recent experience there.”

“You know what I mean. You said you can create the whole package, and what I need from you right now is assurance. Assurance and maybe a few…tips. What I’m doing wrong, what I’m doing right…” She trailed off, her eyes pleading with him.

This was too much.

Benny was actually sitting there, sexy as hell, asking him to kiss her, something he’d been fighting himself from doing since she first sat on this couch. Maybe even before that. She was asking him to feel what those full lips would be like under his and manage to keep his head enough to give her pointers, for God’s sake.

“Benny, I’m not sure this is a good idea.”

“Oh. Okay, I understand.” A certain glimmer of humor entered her eyes. “You’re afraid that I’ve made you into this guru in the fine art of kissing and lovemaking, that now that you’re on the spot, you won’t be able to hold up your end of it. It’s a performance thing.”

“The hell it is.” He sounded angrier than he’d intended. He tried again, making himself sound levelheaded. “Believe me, I know what I’m doing. That’s not the problem.”

“Prove it.”

The woman was positively deranged.

“Fine. If that’s what you want. But when I tell you what you’re doing wrong, I don’t want you to try and physically maim me.” He couldn’t believe he was going to do this.

Kiss a woman he’d been thinking of more times than he probably should the past week. Kiss a woman whom he’d been wanting to kiss long before then.

He smiled a little wider now. Well, if it was what she wanted…

** I RECEIVED AN ARC IN EXCHANGE OF AN HONEST REVIEW **
A cute and enjoyable reading, plus it was pretty good keeping in mind that it was my first Ashlee's book I've read. This is the third book in the Sorensen Family Series a hot-boys series and it's a standalone.

Along the story we see a girl who develops a stronger character with someone's help. Benny and Henry are completely opposite; where he's confident, she's shy. But somehow they seem to fix together... at least as friends. However as the time goes and their lives started to intertwine more and more. Their time together seems to be the only moment where they feel... good. Okay, at first she wasn't very sure about all what he had in mind. When the real Henry started to show up, Benny can't deny it any longer.

The book it's full of sweet moments, also we have funny ones. Benny and Henry have a relationship that grows up with the book, the insecurities and problems they had when it started now are things totally different. The characters are so good together, and all. Yet, there were parts of this book I didn't like as many books out there, but at the end I was completely plunged into it.

Overall, I really liked and enjoyed it. A sweet, sexy and light romance. Another incredible Entangled story. Ashlee has made it. I highly recommend it if you like books with amazing plots and well-writing.

What would you do if on your way home from your boring work, all of a sudden a handsome stranger leaps into the back of your car and asks you to drive him to the airport?

Be terrified? Threaten him and hope he gets out and leaves you alone? Those were my first instincts as well.

There was something in his eyes, something in the words he said that made me pause though. What if this beautiful man really did need my help? What if my refusal meant not only that his safety hung in the balance, but that of the entire country? So I drove him to Heathrow Airport, and my adventure began…

MAN OF MYSTERY - CHAPTER 1

What a day. I sigh and rest my forehead against the steering wheel. After getting called in for my semi-annual appraisal and having all my achievements from the past six months swept under the rug because Karen took credit for them, I can’t imagine how today could get any worse.
Of course, traffic can always worsen any day. It’s warm, too warm to be driving a twenty-year-old rust-bucket without air conditioning. And opening the window does nothing except let in more hot air and fumes from the thousands of cars surrounding me in what has got to be a record for west London. The traffic is spectacularly horrible for a Thursday.
Can’t I catch a fucking break?
I pick up my mobile and after scanning the surrounding vehicles, I figure it’s safe enough to make a call. No coppers around at the moment. The last thing I need is another ticket.
“Hey, Maggie?” I say, greeting the groggy voice on the other end of the line.
“Yeah, Tess, what’s up?”
“Nothing. Same old, life’s a bitch. Shall we go out tonight? I could use the distraction.” The car ahead of me moves but I decide it’s not worth the effort to put mine in first gear, just to creep ahead four feet.
“Sounds great, but I have a date, and then straight to work. Another day perhaps?” Maggie yawns on the other end. Typical, ever since she’s started working the midnight shift at the airport, her routine has been all over the place.
“A date, huh? I’m jealous. Who’s the lucky guy?” I ask, even though I already suspect it’s that guy she works with, Alec, whom she’s been going on about nonstop lately.
“I finally decided enough is enough and asked out Alec. You know nowadays you can’t sit back and wait for men to make the first move. That’s all in the past. The dating scene is all about equal opportunities.”
“Mhm, if you say so. I guess I’m a bit old-fashioned that way.” Which is probably why I haven’t had a date in months.
“Say, you wanna talk about what’s going on? I have a little while before I need to start getting ready.”
“Thanks. Well, as I said. Same old.” I sigh, and squeeze the bridge of my nose to get rid of the beginnings of a tension headache.
“Your boss, Frank-something still bothering you?”
“No, I mean yes. Sort of. I had my appraisal today. Can you believe it? Of all my suggestions which were actually implemented these past six months, none of that was mentioned. That tart I told you about, Karen, presented everything like it was her idea, after making me do the groundwork. And now it looks like I’ve been doing fuck all and I’m not pulling my weight,” I rant.
“I see. Same old indeed. What can you do? People like her will do anything to get ahead, even if it means trampling those in her way. Keep calm, bide your time and return the favor or find another job. No other option.”
“Another job where? I ought to be grateful I have one at all with the way things have been going.” I take a deep breath and grip the steering wheel tighter until my knuckles turn white. I wonder if things ever get easier.
“True. If you ever change your mind on shift work, I could ask around at work?”
“Thanks, Maggie. That’s very sweet. I’ll let you know.” I’m getting desperate, but I’m not ready to work nights. Yet.
“Sure thing, Tess. OK, I’d better have a shower and all. I want to look my best for tonight.”
“Break a leg. And if he turns out to be a dick, I’ll break both of his.”
“Cheers. I’ll let you know how it goes.”
I put down the phone again, feeling slightly better after venting to Maggie. What are friends for, eh? The space in front of my car has opened up even further and I finally do pull ahead.
Metal boxes in all shapes and sizes as far as the eye can see. Perhaps there’s an accident up ahead. It’s going to take at least an hour to get to the motorway from here in this mess. That means I won’t make it home until God knows when.
Urgh. I rest my head back on the steering, wondering if anyone would notice if I had a short nap behind the wheel.
The click of my rear door followed by a gust of air causes a cold shiver to creep down my spine. Someone’s behind me!
“What the hell?” I instinctively snatch up my handbag and phone from the passenger seat while turning around as best I can to face the intruder.
“Shh…” The man cowering half on the back seat makes a calming motion with his hand, but doesn’t look directly at me. My heart is hammering in my throat, threatening to make me freeze up, but I react almost on autopilot anyway.
“Get out! Get the hell out of my car!” I shout, while rummaging furiously in my purse. “I have pepper spray.” My fingers grasp a small deodorant bottle. “And I’m not afraid to use it!”
“Be careful with that, if you blind yourself we’re both done for.” His gentle and calm tone surprises me. If he’s trying to mug me, he’s got a strange technique.
“I… what do you mean, we’re both done for?” I’m still pointing the deodorant bottle in his general direction, but am suddenly not so sure I want to spray him with it.
“I need you to drive. I swear I have a good reason to get into your car. Also, you’ve got that the wrong way around.”
My fingers shake even more intensely as he reaches out for the can, and twists the nozzle in his direction.
“There.”
“Shit. I’m sorry. Thanks. I mean…” Why the hell am I apologizing to this criminal? Still, I feel like a total idiot for threatening to spray him with what is essentially perfume. I suppose it would hurt if it ends up in his eye, but it’s not quite mace, is it? I lower my hand and take a proper look at him.
The stranger is still sort of hiding half in the foot well and half on the seat, skittishly looking out the window, while sneaking glances in my direction. He doesn’t look like a mugger. But then, I’ve never been mugged, how would I know what a mugger looks like?
Still, his suit and shirt make him look more like a businessman than a criminal. Or a waiter perhaps.
“Good thing you’re no longer intent on making me smell like… Lush Lavender, is it? Yeah. Not really my style,” he says with a subtle smile on his face.
A joke, really? Now?
“There’s no accounting for taste,” I respond, while keeping my gaze fixed on his eyes. Green, bright, focused. “Now, if you don’t mind explaining yourself.”
“Of course. What would you say if I told you that there are some very bad people heading to Heathrow right now with a cargo that could destroy the world as we know it?” he says.
“I would ask if you’ve been drinking.” I continue to stare at him, but he’s unfazed by my reaction and smiles again. How is he so calm? This whole thing has got to be a joke.

She acts like she hates him, but her eyes tell a different story. Before he knows it, Blake finds himself hot for teacher, and he’s more than ready to learn all her secrets. Now all he has to do is convince her to give him a shot…without getting them both killed in the process.

REVIEW
** I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review **

I was looking forward for this book since I read the synopsis plus I'd already read one of J.C.'s books and I loved it, and this is kind of odd because I'm not into MC Romances —even when I've already had my part of these books. Anyway, I read it and it was fantastic! J.C. has done it again.

Grit is an adult MC contemporary romance written by the amazing J.C. Valentine, and it’s the first in the Spartan Riders series. J.C. plunges us into Gabby and the-sexy Blake’s lives. Gabby has been through a lot lately, she moves back to her parent’s after a bad breakup, now she’s settled with a new job as a teacher. And because she really cares for her family, the last thing she wants is her bad-past choices hurting them. But the good part is that at least she’s trying to get over all that, but the last thing she wants is a man. But it’s difficult when you have someone as Blake —and I don’t blame her either. So, Blake, what can I say about this man? I liked his character —a lot. And specially the lovely way he's with his child —I loved Ash! Oh and he's the president of The Spartan Riders MC. So what those two have in common? Actually, more than they can imagine —and well, aside of Ash, who's also Gabby's student. He's a little man plus he looks alike his dad —How can't love him?

As I said, it was a fantastic read, and the way things ended I'm so looking forward for the second book. The instant attraction between these two characters were incredible, how all ended between them, however, there were parts in this book where for example I didn't like some characteristic about Gabby, but then I kind of understood her, and it made that my whole perspective change, but overall, it was pretty good and I highly recommend it. BTW, congrats J.C!

How far will one man go for the woman he’s loved since high school?

Jamie Kingston has been Brynn Chandler’s best friend since middle school. Only once was their friendship tested—when Brynn gave Jamie a single kiss. Since then, they’ve had an unspoken agreement never to cross that line again, and she’s ready to let go of the past and move on.

But Jamie has loved Brynn for as long as he can remember, and now that he’s ready to tell her, she has her sights set on someone else. Knowing this is his last chance, he asks Brynn to go on a two-week road trip. But their time alone brings old hurts to the surface, and Brynn has to decide if the one that gotaway lies at the end of the journey or if he’s been by her side all along.

EXCERPT
“Looking for something?” he asked. The rest of the party’s attention had gone back to the bride and groom who were getting ready to cut their cake, and Jamie and Brynn had a rare moment of privacy at a table full of strangers.

“My…” But then she saw his hand, palm up on the table, her lime wedge resting in it. He raised his arm and changed his grip so he was pinching the fruit between his thumb and forefinger, and he reached it toward her mouth.

Her teeth pierced the lime’s flesh, and then she sucked. Jamie’s finger rested on the corner of her mouth, and on the other side, his thumb. She could almost taste his skin if not for the sweet bitterness of the lime. Before he lingered at her lips too long—and really any amount of time was too long—she gripped his wrist and pushed it away as she released his offering from her lips.

“Foggy,” she said, and Jamie’s brow furrowed. “S’foggy in my head,” she explained and hoped he’d be able to translate whatever she was thinking into something that made sense. “You gonna drink that?” she asked, and reached for the full shot sitting on the table in front of him.

With blinding speed he downed the shot himself—completely ignoring the lime.

“You, Sleepy B, have had enough.”

“Jean,” she said.

“Who’s Jean?”

She shook her head. “I’m not Sleepy B, silly.”

Jamie chuckled. “I’m sleepy,” he said, his voice soft and warm, like Brynn could snuggle into it.

“Mmmm…” she said. “I wanna snuggle with your voice.”

Wait. What?

“You’re hammered,” he said, laughing again.

“You’re screwed,” Brynn countered, and then she laughed so hard she snorted. “Do you get it? Hammered and screwed? Now someone just needs to get nailed.”

More snorting ensued as Jamie’s eyes widened. She was hammered. Plastered. Screwed. Nailed. All of it—three sheets to the wind plus a pillowcase and maybe a duvet. She knew because even with her glasses on, Jamie was fuzzy around the edges. She knew because she didn’t normally say things about snuggling with his voice, and she certainly didn’t have a habit of sucking fruit from between his fingers and wanting to devour him in the process.

So this was how it was going to be from here on out? Alcohol working as some sort of truth serum? Well, she was going to do something about that, and by something she apparently meant vomiting out more truth.

“James?” she asked, doing her best to fake composure. Because this was important.

“Sleepy Jean.” He nodded, seeming proud of his ability to overcome his own tipsiness to call her by the correct nickname.

“I think you should know that, mostly against my will, there were a couple of times in the past two days when I maybe, kind of, probably thought you were sexy.”

Good Lord. She was Mr. freaking Darcy.

REVIEW
** I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review **

I loved it! From cover to cover; I couldn't put it down. The One That Got Away is the first book in The Kingston Ale House series or trilogy -I don't have idea. I loved the cover too, it's so colorful and so beautiful. Anyway, it's written by A.J. Pine, this is the first time I've read a book by her, and it was so good that I'm adding more by her in my to-read list.

I'm always up for a best friend romance, most of the time they end in a happy ending and that's what I like. Fall in love with the person who knows you even better than yourself? I really like this kind of books because they're fun, sweet, and sexys.

It's written in dual POV, so along the book we can know the story between both of them from different POVs. Brynn and James -or Jamie, have been best friends since high school -since a long time. One night, ten years ago, he had the chance of kiss her -and he did it, of course-, something that changed the things between them; so, Jamie has been in love with Brynn since before the kiss, but due to his parents' separation -in the past- he was even more afraid of loss her, so he decided -for both of them- that they'd be just friends. But as I said, things changed -not in a bad way. They've kept their friendship for years, until the day he decided he wants her, and confess his love, what happens? That's the best part! There are other characters, for example, Brynn's younger sister, she was so funny! Every time she was in the scene she made me smile. In general, they were pretty good.

Overall, it was a really good best-friend romance, it's full of so much sweet scenes and interactions. It's a light/adorable read. So I'm looking forward for anything that comes in this series.

Gabby Morgan isn’t looking for love. Not even a little romance. Following a rocky past that she’d just as soon forget, she’s determined to focus on the future. One that most certainly doesn’t involve the tough-as-nails, short-on-words, hot-as-hell biker…or his kid.

Blake Mahone may not be done with women, but he’s finished with relationships. Then Gabby Morgan enters the picture. She’s flawless, refined, and as his kid’s teacher, way out of his league. She acts like she hates him, but her eyes tell a different story. Before he knows it, Blake finds himself hot for teacher, and he’s more than ready to learn all her secrets. Now all he has to do is convince her to give him a shot…without getting them both killed in the process.

Sensing movement, Gabby opened her eyes and found herself staring at a wall of male chest. Leather creaked as Blake drew even closer, closing out what little space was left between them. Body heat licked her breasts sending goosebumps scattering down her arms and across her chest that teased her nipples into stiff, sensitive points.

When he leaned down, placing his face so close to hers she could practically taste the beer on his breath, Gabby shivered. It became painfully clear that the time for fighting this attraction had come to an end. The sheer torture of trying to resist was something she could no longer abide, and so Gabby gave in.

“You want something, teach?”

The low rumble of his voice reached down deep, sending a flood of heat rushing between her thighs. “I—”

“Because the way you’ve been watching me all night tells me you see something you like. Or maybe it’s not so much a like as it is a need,” he growled, one hand reaching up to curl a lock of her hair around his finger.

The way she bloomed for him told her that he was right. He was beautiful, he was edgy, and in the rare moments that he opened his mouth to speak, he was devastating.

She needed him in the worst way. To ease the growing ache inside of her. To temper the need she’d felt from the moment she laid eyes on him. But she didn’t know him. And what she knew of him, she didn’t necessarily like.

“I don’t know if I…like you,” she whispered into the narrow space dividing them.

Bending farther down, the rough hairs dusting Blake’s jaw scratched deliciously against her cheek as he placed his lips beside her ear and whispered back, “I don’t know if I like you either, teach.” She felt the heavy weight of his hand curl around her hip and give her a possessive tug, pressing them together, chest to chest. “Is that a problem for you?”
