Finding Paradise is an easy, quick, cute story. I could not put it down because it was so absorbing that I just could not. In this story everything makes sense if you really think about it afterwards, why she made the same decision twice and everything else.

Mila is in the moment when she has to decide what would happen with her life in order to move on from her past, things got a little complicated and now she is questioning what she did wrong. She is passionate and strong -even if it is really deep down. But when Mila and Gage meet... there seems to be nothing wrong so being friends is just right. Gage has his own past/bad decisions but he is kind-of a free spirit or at least he enjoys life and he is not ashamed of it. However, you need to involve yourself a hundred percent into a relationships -telling the truth is primordial or it could not last longer.

FP is incredible, I just loved it. It has the right amount of clichés that even with them between the pages it is fascinating. Plus, it made me want to go to Hawaii so bad.

MTYJ is an standalone book written by Camelia -who is also in my new-authors list. She has made an splendid job with this story, when it comes to understand both main characters, their reasons to do what they do and everything, just magnificent.

Jane Sullivan and Lucas Oliver; Jane is a strong character, she is also shy somehow, plus she thinks everyone experiences love once in life, but she also thinks that when you already have had it then there is nothing. She may be wrong, anyways, her character has been through a very difficult lost -the love of her life/husband and father of her 4 year-old daughter died. Due to this she has decided that it is better if she does what she has to do and without complications that come with dating someone. But when she meets Lucas Oliver -so sexy- many feelings even ones she did not think she would ever feel again. Lucas has had his bunch of bad in this life, everything he is been through led him to see life in other perspective, one where he is definitely up for enjoying every day almost like there is no tomorrow. Both character are very appealing and they do immerse you more and more in their life.

ME TARZAN, TOU JANE is a lovely story which shows us that life and love has many different perspectives. Plus, to "live" again does not mean you will forget and you will let everyone in your past where they are. I really recommend this story for everyone. And Ella is so cuuuute!

Book: +4 life-changes-you stars

Ever since I began writing and publishing books I’ve been on the run, always trying to write the next page, the next chapter, the next book. Every story was another journey, another discovery of what I could do and another evolution. All these years my motto was it doesn’t matter who I am or where I come from, but what I leave behind is. I thought I have it all figured out.

Socrates, one of the biggest philosophers to ever grace humanity once said, “I am talking a crock of s***.” I had no idea this expression dated hundreds of years ago and belongs to him, but who am I to argue with him? Needless to say, after some soul searching I realized my motto was a . . . pot of smelly stuff. I had a meltdown because, if you think about it, why would what I leave behind matter more than who I am here and now in this very moment? How will I ever know if what I left behind mattered with no way of seeing it? How am I gonna enjoy it? Think Socrates; does he know how much he touched humankind? Does he know people still remember him centuries later? And if he knows, does it make a difference?

I’m not sure. Frankly I doubt with all my heart it makes any difference to him. He’s gone, like I’ll be gone one day and instead of beating myself up to leave something behind me, I’m going to learn how to live here, now and totally enjoy it. No more worrying about tomorrow, but live today. No more five-year plans, but rather let the sun soak my skin, the air fill my lungs and the grass touch my feet. After all, I only live once.

I think maybe the mood I have at the moment of reading any book affects a little the way I feel/think about it. However, this book was so fascinating that instead of being a lazy read it made me be with my eyes wide open so as not to lose a word of it.

Gold Rush, even the name might have caught you very well; this is my first time reading Jen's job and it definitely will not be the last one. It is a standalone but it also comes to be related somehow with one of her series.

Liza and Braden... they are just so perfect! But anyways, Liza is a very strong and determined girl whose life has not been anything but unreal -in a incredible way. Because I do not think I would ever be into skating/ice like her. YET her life seemed to be so real when it comes to how she reacted, the decisions she took and how she felt about things that I completely fell in love with her character. Plus, even when Liza was a child she knew it was in the deepest of her heart to be an ice skater, after all she had it in her blood. And Braden, he has totally entered my book-boyfriends-list, I really want one of my own. He is so alive, happy and easy-going; he gives Liza a new perspective of skating and dating/having a boy-friend, and that if you really try and want then it does not have to be bad. Both characters have had very different lives in general, but the more they know each other... the more they realized they have lots of things in common.

The plot was amazing, Jen did really make an excellent job with this book because I felt every single word, I was so focused on it that I did not feel the time went by; and it is because this book is so well-described, like Liza's dedication at what she does -I could totally feel and empathize with her. I have so many thoughts about this book that I do not really think I can put them all on paper, and I do not want to bore you so I will make it quick... you should -must- completely try this book even if you are not into YA (although I still think it is NA), this is a light, cute, sweet and beautiful story, maybe it could come to be a little cliché, but it represents so much more that you just forget about everything and really immerse yourself into it.

Title: Playing the Player
Author: Amy Andrews
Series: Sydney Smoke Rugby #3
Release Date: Jan 30, 2017

After a long history with crappy guys, high school teacher Em Newman is going man-vegan. Four months of revirginization has opened her eyes to her doormat imitation but, baby’s got spine now, and some smooth-talking—even if he is sinfully hot—rugby player, won’t be adding her as a notch anytime soon.

Lincoln Quinn loves rugby, women, and poker. And he likes to win at all three. When his team mates bet him he can’t break through Em’s resolve, he’s more than up for the challenge. But this lady has a shoebox of stipulations before she’ll even go on a date with him, much less use that mouth for kissing instead of giving orders.

Something’s gotta give but this time Em’s not settling. And Linc’s questioning everything he ever knew about matters of the heart.

Each book in the Sydney Smoke Rugby series is a standalone, full-length story that can be enjoyed out of order.
Series Order:
Book #1 Playing By Her Rules
Book #2 Playing it Cool
Book #3 Playing the Player

#EXCERPT
Linc rang Em at the same time he had the day before. Every part of him ached from a morning of gruelling training, but in a good way. The kind of way that made him grateful for his fitness, that made him feel alive. And pumped.

Pumped to make this phone call. Pumped to hear Em say yes.

“Hi, Em Newman speaking.”

She had one of those teacher’s voices. Firm but kind, with just enough fuck-with-me-and-I’ll-send-you-to-the-principal edge to keep a guy in line. That kind of voice that had never really worked on him when he’d been in high school, but then he’d never had a teacher as sexy as Em Newman, either.

He might have turned up more often if he had.

“I think I’ve been going about this all the wrong way,” he said, picturing her sitting at her desk, her mouth pressing close to the phone receiver so she wasn’t overheard.

“I’ve been going for traditional names. But it’s not Ermintrude. Or Emma. Or Emily or Emmeline. So I’m thinking now your parents might be hippies, and it’s actually something like Ember. Or Emerald.”

There was a long pause then a deep sigh. “Why do you care?”

“I want to be able to call you by your real name.”

“Well, the kids call me Miss Newman.”

Linc chuckled. “Oh. Don’t tempt me.”

Another heavy sigh. “Are you just going to ring me every lunch hour?”

“Sure. If I have to.”

“Don’t you have...push-ups to do? Or something? Balls to kick. Tries to score?”

He grinned. “Training finishes at twelve, and in case you haven’t noticed, I’m trying to score right now.”

“Linc...” He’d have to have been deaf not to hear the exasperation in her voice. “I have papers to mark.”

“You are hell on a man’s ego, Miss Newman.” He loved the way “Miss” rolled off his tongue, and a dozen dirty thoughts about naughty teachers with crazy curls bending over to help a student with a problem, their shirts gaping to reveal pretty bras flitted through his head with a predictable effect on his dick.

Who knew teachers could be such a fucking turn-on?

Certainly not a guy who’d spent a good portion of his life avoiding them at all costs.

She snorted. “I have a feeling your ego couldn’t be brought down with an elephant gun.”

He laughed, not even bothering to try and dissuade her from the accuracy of her statement. “The Nerd Chicks are in town on Friday night.”

She didn’t say anything for a beat or two. “You know who the Nerd Chicks are?”

“I do now.”

Linc had spent a long time online last night trying to come up with something that’d blow Em’s mind. He’d finally found An Evening with the Nerd Chicks. Apparently they were three women with science backgrounds who ran a popular YouTube channel discussing all things science and had taken their show on the road.

“We should go together.”

There was another pause, but he thought he could hear her breath hitch. “Top marks for trying, Linc. But it’s sold out. It sold out in about half an hour.”

“Lucky for you I have two V.I.P. tickets.”

He definitely heard her breath this time. Hissing slowly out this time in a long exhale. “Thank you but...no.”

“No? Did I mention you get to meet them afterwards?”

A soft noise that sort of sounded like a whimper or maybe even a low growl caressed his eardrum. “I said no.”

But it was the most unconvincing no Linc had ever heard. He could practically feel her conflict. “Come on, Miss Newman,” he pressed. “Why deprive yourself?”

“Because, Linc,” she muttered, her voice terse, “afterwards I’ll probably fuck you in your ridiculously sexy car.”

Linc’s pulse spiked at her direct prediction. Even if she had sounded utterly depressed over it. He laughed. “And that’s a bad thing?”

“Yes.”

“Okay. What if I promise to not let you fuck me in my car? Or anywhere else?”

It wasn’t going to win him the bet—but he really didn’t give a fuck anymore. Linc just really wanted to take her to the show. Because she obviously wanted to go.

She snorted. “I can be very persuasive.”

** I RECEIVED AN ARC IN EXCHANGE OF AN HONEST REVIEW **
Playing the Player is the third book in the Sydney Smoke Rugby series written by Amy Andrews -who has many books but anyways comes to be a new author for me. All the books in this series are standalone so I just had the common problems following this reality, however, there were no such big ones because Amy does an magnificent job catching you up on who is who and why such things.

Em Newman, her last relationship ended bad enough for her to decide to change her life decisions when it comes to men in general, now she has a new 'plan' -to be men-free; but there is someone who does not make it easy for her, and she cannot simply deny that the attraction/chemistry exists. Lincoln Quinn, he is a player in more than just one sense, and he seems to really enjoy his extracurricular activities, and a lot more if they involve women.

Em and Linc's have it bad -like, the more time they see each other the more they want to be in the other's pants. Linc seems to be a flirty persona towards Em every time he sees her, which the very first time they met did not go so well for him. Plus, he is of those who cannot abstain from a new challenge -it is not that he is always betting but yeah. Now, he has more reasons to be with her, but come on! Of course that if you already had some kind of feelings or at least 'happy-emotions' for someone and you add more of what was already there, obviously, something would happen. In a minute he is enjoying it so much that he just cannot bear to be far from Em. Because both are worth risking to face their deepest fears.

I do not know how the other books were in terms of length, but this was a short reading. At the end, what I thought was the main plot was not, and the real 'reason' behind everything amazed me in such a way that I did not know what to think in order to understand their different perspectives towards something. Playing the Player is a kind-of light and quick book, with cute and hot moments, and with a very deserved HEA. So, if you like sexy-sport romances with this kind of characters then give it a try, and if you somehow really want to get to know this world then read the previous books.
